“ Got the zataar pizza and it was so yummy. A little oily but that comes with the zataar pizza territory. Also I got the chicken salad and it was hands down one of the best salads I've had (and trust me, I've eaten a lot of salads) - portion was huge and all of the ingredients/toppings were so good together. Looking forward to returning to Manakish! ”
“ Service is professional and helpful. I chose the lentil soup, which came in a nice full bowl. For those that like a blended lentil soup, it hits the spot. I also ordered the vegan options which she was so nice to give me the option of half and half. Half cauliflower + eggplant and half falafel on top of a bed of hummus veggies and rice. The amounts given are so good here. One bowl is a family serving! Lots of rice and hummus w lemons etc. I really like the baklava and I can tell it is authentic. Made with real ingredients. Very good. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they remembered to include hot chili sauce even a hand sanitizer! that was really awesome of them. Such great service! We love middle eastern food so I can't wait to try all of the other dishes here in the future! ”
“ Manaksh Oven & Grill in Walnut Creek is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, the welcoming vibe and the kindness of the lady working there set the tone for a fantastic meal. We started with the beef shawarma fries, and wow - these are a must-try! The fries were perfectly crispy, loaded with tender, flavorful beef shawarma, and drizzled with just the right amount of garlic sauce. It's a savory masterpiece that I'm still dreaming about. Next, we had the lahm-bajin, and it was equally impressive. The spiced ground meat topping was packed with flavor and had the perfect balance of seasonings. The crust was thin, crisp, and absolutely divine. To end the meal, we treated ourselves to their baklava, and it did not disappoint. Layers of flaky pastry, a hint of honey sweetness, and just the right crunch of nuts made it the perfect dessert. The food was amazing, and the service was just as incredible. The lady working there was so sweet and attentive, making us feel like family. It's rare to find a spot with both great food and such warm hospitality, but Manaksh Oven & Grill has it all. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving delicious Mediterranean food! I can't wait to come back and try more of their menu. ”
“ i had came earlier for my YELP elite experience at Manakish, but i decided to also get some takeout for later, since the food and experience was so good. customer service was superb, with Nia (Nya), a staff member, also helping me to order a great meal for later. i went with the falafel wrap, paired with fries. just like the food i ate initially, this wrap delivered the same elite taste! fries were amazingly seasoned, and seemed like wedges, which i do not mind at all Manakish Walnut Creek really might be one of my new favorite spots of 2025; the customer service alone is worth a return visit ”
“ Manakish is a wonderful place for Mediterranean food, located in Walnut Creek. They have a small, but private lot with free parking along with indoor seating. I've only ever done takeout from here and they make a point to pack everything nicely, so it stays fresh for your drive home. Their menu features a variety of bowls, plates, wraps, appetizers, fresh juices and flat breads. Their space is bright and open with some seating outside as well (albeit with some street noise-but they have set it up nicely.) Their portions are huge! My falafel bowl was a nice balance of fresh tomatoes and cucumbers with their creamy hummus, crisp falafel patties and fluffy rice. It was nice combo of flavors and textures. Bowls can be me made with half rice, half greens or all of one or the other. I opted for all rice since I had a long drive home and didn't wanted the greens to wilt. Excellent choice in Walnut Creek, not to be overlooked since they're not downtown. Really lovely staff and family owned business. Come out and support them-love this spot and wish I lived closer so I can visit more often. ”
“ Manakish is a Mediterranean, Middle-Eastern restaurant located on the corners of N. Main Street and Geary Road in Walnut Creek. It's not located downtown, but more uptown by the 680 Freeway. There is a small parking area and patio dining. I love they have automatic sliding doors. I use a cane to walk so I appreciate this feature. The restaurant is clean and bright. I was greeted by Naya at the counter. She was so helpful and friendly. I never had Mediterranean food so it was a new adventure. I ordered the falafel (10 balls) with Tahini sauce. Crunchy outside and soft inside. Thumbs up! Next, I ordered two starter dipping sauces.. baba Ganoush (eggplant) and jalepeno Cilantro hummus with soft/fresh pita! Simply AMAZING! I ordered two entrees, one included a Chicken Kebob plate. The chicken was chunky and juicy. It came with hummus, pita bread, tomatoe/cucumber salad and rice. Second entree was the Lahm-bajin manakish (flatbread/pizza) with ground beef. I was a bit confused because it was not cooked in a sauce. I had to roll the slice up so the fillings won't fall out. I believe they layer the toppings on top of the flatbread. It was served at room temperature. The freshness the of ingredients and ground beef was a good experience to try something new. I would order it again. They offer freshly squeezed juices... strawberry and lemonade!!! Both refreshing and quenches the thirst. Support your local business and try something new, and be blown away! Fresh, healthy ingredients. ”
“ There are a lot of vegetarian options here. The menu is marked so it's easy to identify which items are vegetarian. They also have several gluten free options. The atmosphere here is casual with indoor and outdoor seating, and the service is fast and efficient. I didn't have to wait long before my meal was ready. The portions are plentiful, I have enough for three meals. I had the falafel appetizer and the falafel bowl. Is it obvious that I really like falafels? But the one thing that I'm still dreaming about? The walnut baklava. OMG! It's the best I've ever had. I will definitely will be back for the baklava! ”
“ Visited Manakish today! ! I went there when it first opened and loved it, but we moved further away and it fell off my radar. So glad it's back on! I got to try quite a good amount of what they offer. Service was so nice and just super welcoming! I enjoyed a fresh squeezed bottle of strawberry juice- thick with strawberries! For my starter I tried the falafel bites- 10 pieces of goodness. Crispy outside and moist (not dry like some) inside with flavor. The hummus is killer here and the pita soft and fresh. This came with the chichen kabob bowl I ordered- plus rice and cucumber salad! The cauliflower eggplant bowl was half rice half lettuce, cucumber salad, and hummus too! The Manakish flatbread was everyone's favorite- cheese, olives, EVOO, and lots of zataar! Wanted to try the baklava too but forgot! Portions fed a family of five with leftovers!! We will be back. ”
“ This place is right off the freeway. It's a great location. They have their own private lot, but it's limited and there is only one way in and out. I was concerned when I arrived that there wouldn't be any parking and I'd have to back out of the lot. Parking is one of my worst fears when going somewhere. I can park, but I have a fear of hitting another car when I pull into a tight space and I don't like backing out of lots if they are full onto the Main Street. As there is not turnaround in this lot. I arrived around 2pm, missing the lunch crowd and finding the prefect parking space. Due to it was after the lunch crowd the place wasn't over flowing with people. There were 2 other tables eating when I arrived. There were plenty of tables to choose from, inside and out. It was quite warm out so a choose a table for 2 inside, since there was only 1 of me I didn't want to hog the big table. I sat near the sliding door, but far enough from the sensor that the door didn't open when I got up. They have a water filling station along with cups and plastic silverware off to the side. I got myself some water and sat down. The wait wasn't that long, it gave me just enough time to go to the bathroom and wash my hands and then my meal was served. The staff member brought my tray to my table. That was a nice touch. They asked for my name so I thought they'd call me up, but they brought my food to me. That was sweet of them. This is my second time here and I will be back and probably order the same thing again. It's the best bang for your buck. I belive it was $14.99. You can get the same thing in a wrap for the same price. Another customer got that and also took half of it home. The flat breads are also good. We got one the last time we were there. They are like a large pizza. Very delicious and filling. Plenty to share, just like a pizza. I ordered what I got last time the Chicken Shawarma bowl. It was big as ever and I was only able to finish half of it. I'm saving the 2nd half for today's lunch. I really like how they give you a green salad on the bottom along with rice and a cucumber salad on top. Your chicken is also on the top. The chicken is flavorful and tender. ”
